TITANS CRICKET MOURNS THE PASSING OF COENRAAD VAN DER BERG

August 20, 2026

Titans Cricket is deeply saddened by the passing of Coenraad van der Berg, who served as the team manager of the Titans Deaf Cricket Team and represented the team as a player for several years. His loss is deeply felt throughout the Titans family, particularly within the deaf cricket community, where he made a lasting impact through his unwavering dedication and commitment.

Coenraad was known throughout the Titans setup as someone who would do anything for his team and for the union as a whole. Outgoing and always ready with a word of encouragement, he remained a constant source of support for his players, whether they were on the field or not. His commitment did not go unnoticed by those around him: teammates and colleagues affectionately nicknamed him ‘Superman’, a fitting tribute to the tireless way he showed up for the team over the years.

Titans Deaf Cricket Head Coach Freddie Lebeloane paid tribute to Coenraad, saying: “Coenraad was a person who would do anything for his team and for the Titans. He was outgoing, he spoke a lot, and he always supported his team even when he wasn’t out there playing. That’s exactly why we called him ‘Superman’ – because of everything he did for us. He will be deeply missed.”

Coenraad’s years of service to the Titans Deaf Cricket Team leave behind a legacy of loyalty, warmth, and selflessness.

Titans Cricket extends its heartfelt condolences to Coenraad’s family, friends, and teammates during this difficult time.
