The Fidelity Titans are proud to confirm their women’s squad for the upcoming 2026/2027 domestic season, as the Daisy Ladies prepare for another exciting chapter in the Hollywoodbets Pro Series.
The Sky Blues head into the new campaign following a competitive 2025/2026 season, in which the team secured podium finishes in both the Hollywoodbets Pro20 and Pro50 competitions, ending the season in third place in each.
The Titans continue to build on a strong core of players, with experienced campaigner Eliz-Mari Marx extending her stay with the union after first joining the Titans in 2016. Amogelang Maphangula is also among the players coming back. Marx and Maphangula will once again be joined by Monalisa Legodi and top wicket-taker Paulinah Mashishi. Miane Smit and Luyanda Nzuza, who both signed with the Titans last season, will be entering their second campaign with the franchise, bringing with them the valuable experience and cohesion built over the past year.
Following an impressive 2025/2026 campaign, Angela Mgwenya has been rewarded with a Titans contract after being named the Garmin Most Promising Player of the Season. The talented youngster impressed throughout the campaign and continues to grow into one of the exciting prospects within the setup. The Sky Blues have also strengthened their squad with two exciting additions from Western Province: right-hand batter Julia Hoal joins the Titans ahead of the new season, alongside opening bowler Caitlin Wyngaard.
Wicketkeeper Tebogo Macheke is once again included among the contracted players for the upcoming season alongside Katherine Prior. Meanwhile, recently matriculated wicketkeeper-batter Simone Lourens has earned her first professional contract with the Fidelity Titans ahead of the 2026/2027 campaign. Further strengthening the stature of the Titans women’s programme is the presence of four CSA nationally contracted players within the squad, with Laura Wolvaardt, Sune Luus, Anneke Bosch and Masabata Klaas all carrying national contracts into the upcoming season.
Dr Jacques Faul, CEO of Titans Cricket, expressed his enthusiasm for both the new additions and the retained core of the squad:
“We are very excited about the direction of our women’s programme. The players we have retained and the new contracts we have issued reflect our genuine commitment to building a competitive, sustainable, and high-quality women’s team. We believe we have the depth and talent to take our professional women’s cricket to even greater heights, and we look forward to what this group can achieve together in the seasons ahead,” he said.
The Titans have also placed a strong emphasis on their high-performance pipeline, with Lesedi Madisha, Imaan van Schalkwyk and Masingita Khoza all named in the high-performance group.
The Fidelity Titans are primed to make a strong statement in the 2026/2027 women’s cricket season, and the Sky Blues faithful will no doubt be eagerly anticipating what this exciting new-look squad has in store.
