TITANS CRICKET MEMBERS COUNCIL BREAKAWAY STRENGTHENS SHARED VISION

August 18, 2025

The Titans Cricket Council hosted its annual Members Breakaway on 16-17 August 2025 at the Black Brick Hotel in Johannesburg, bringing together chairpersons from affiliated clubs, the Titans Cricket Union Board, and management to align on the season ahead.

The two-day session opened with presentations from the club chairpersons, each highlighting their current position and ambitions for the future. These discussions laid the foundation for collaboration, ensuring clubs are well-positioned to grow and contribute to the greater Titans vision. Titans Cricket CEO, Dr Jacques Faul, reinforced the organisation’s ethos of being a team for all, reminding members of the responsibility to embody the HEAR values of Honesty, Excellence, Accountability, and Respect.

Adding an inspiring perspective, guest speaker Joey Mongale, former Bulls and Junior Springboks rugby player, addressed the group on the importance of unity, a shared vision, and the discipline required to live out team values to achieve long-term success.

The programme was directed by Jean Du Randt, who facilitated group activities, discussions, and problem-solving sessions. Members identified challenges within their clubs while working collectively to propose practical solutions.

Cricket Services Manager, Charlotte Serwadi, emphasised the value of the breakaway: “This gathering is always a good opportunity to meet with the chairpersons, understand where their clubs are, and where they plan to go. Over these two days, it was clear that we have strong leaders who truly represent what we stand for and where we are heading.”

The breakaway highlighted the power of collaboration and reaffirmed the Titans’ commitment to building a strong, united cricket community.
