THE FIDELITY TITANS GEAR UP FOR SEASON OPENER IN DURBAN

October 3, 2024

The Fidelity Titans have arrived in Durban this evening, ready to begin their 2024/2025 season with two consecutive matchups against the Hollywoodbets Dolphins at Kingsmead Stadium.

With the introduction of a new captain, Proteas star Masabata Klaas, the Titans are looking forward to a fresh start this season. Klaas takes the reins from Robyn Searle, who remains a key player in the squad. The team has undergone slight changes, with Nicolien Janse Van Rensburg departing, and new signings Alysia Rudolph and Pura Andreou set to make their debut for the Sky Blues.

Head Coach Gordon Matheson, who joined the squad in the offseason, is optimistic about the upcoming campaign. “The team has worked incredibly hard during the preseason, and I believe we are in a good place heading into these crucial opening games,” said Matheson. “The girls are well-prepared, and I’m confident this will be a successful season for us.”

The Titans will look to make an immediate impact as they aim for early victories in Durban. With a blend of seasoned players and new talent, the squad is ready to push for a strong start in both formats.

The action begins with the Pro20 match on Friday, 4 October, at 09:00, followed by the Pro50 encounter on Saturday, 5 October.
