MOMENTUM MULTIPLY TITANS EAGER FOR SUPERSPORT PARK RETURN

The Momentum Multiply Titans will be looking forward to their SuperSport Park homecoming in the CSA One Day Cup.

The Sky Blues have spent the week at the coastal cities of Gqeberha and Durban for their away matches against the DafaBet Warriors and HollwoodBets Dolphins in the competition.

It was a mix bag of results for the Titans on their travels having suffered a 109-run defeat to the Warriors and then a triumphant 6 wicket win over the Dolphins.

The victory over the Dolphins will be a big confidence booster for the Titans after Dean Elgar (100*) and Donovan Ferreira (138*) put together a record-breaking 5th wicket partnership of 232-runs to see the Sky Blues to victory.

Up next for the Titans is an encounter against the North West Dragons at SuperSport Park on Friday.

“We’re happy to be back home on Friday and play in front of our home crowd.” Said Titans head coach Mandla Mashimbyi. “There’s the obvious factors that play into our favour, conditions, familiarity and the support we get at SuperSport Park.”

“There’s some good momentum we’ve picked up on and we’re looking forward to go up against the Dragons, it will be key that we use that to our advantage, and it will boost our performance on the field.”

The Titans last played at SuperSport Park on 23 September where they took victory over the GBets Rocks by 237 runs and again the exploits of Dean Elgar and Donovan Ferreira guided them to the victory.

The next 3 matches for the Sky Blues will be at SuperSport Park and Mashimbyi’s men will relish at the opportunity to play at the Fortress. After Fridays match against the Dragons Titans will host the AET Tuskers on 18 October and then Western Province on 20 October.
