The Momentum Multiply Titans make a trip to Durban to face off with the HollywoodBets Dolphins in round 2 of the 4 Day Series.
Expectations are high as two sides are set to lock horns at Kingsmead Stadium from Tuesday, 12 November with both teams coming off the back of defeats in their opening encounters, raising the appetite for the sides to chase a win.
The Titans showed promise in their opener against the Lions at the Wanderers last week with displays of grit and handy half-centuries with the bat and being troublesome at moments with the ball.
Corbin Bosch led the attack in the first innings in Johannesburg with 4-71, supported by Tsepo Ndwandwa (3-72), before going on to share in a 100 + run partnership with Andile Phehlukwayo (88) where he put on 59. Joshua van Heerden was the third player to get a half-century with a 50 at the top of the order.
“It was a tough last week however I’m encouraged by the glimpses of brilliance we showed at different stages of the match.” Explained Titans head coach, Mandla Mashimbyi. ”The next step for us is to ensure we stay on top when we have the momentum and not give them an opportunity to come back.” Mashimbyi said when looking ahead to the Dolphins game.
Recent encounters between have been closely contested, with the Titans holding a slight edge in terms of overall results and the Titans will be looking to start with a bang despite the Dolphins advantage of home conditions.
The Titans boast a strong bowling attack and dynamic batting lineup that can take on any challenge. This match promises to be closely contested, with the result potentially coming down to key moments in the middle and late stages of each innings.
