Titans Cricket wishes former leg-spinner Shaun von Berg a well-deserved and happy retirement following the news of his decision to step away from professional cricket.
Von Berg represented the Titans from the 2010/11 season through to the 2018/19 season, becoming one of the union’s most reliable spin options across nearly a decade of first-class, List A and T20 cricket at SuperSport Park and beyond.
The leg-spinner played a crucial role in the Titans’ first-class competition triumph in the 2016/17 season, finishing as the tournament’s fifth-highest wicket-taker despite featuring in only half of the matches played that campaign.
“Shaun was part of the Titans during an era where this union was truly peaking, and he did really well for the team throughout that time,” said Titans Cricket CEO, Dr Jacques Faul. “We wish him everything of the best for this new chapter.”
Everyone at Titans Cricket thanks Shaun von Berg for his years of service and wishes him nothing but happiness and success in the next chapter of his life.
