MOMENTUM MULTIPLY TITANS READY TO BEGIN 2026/2027 FIRST-CLASS CAMPAIGN AT HOME

September 10, 2026

The Momentum Multiply Titans are set to officially begin their 2026/2027 season when they welcome the Hollywoodbets Dolphins to SuperSport Park for their opening First-Class Series clash from 10–13 September.

With 22 trophies already proudly sitting in the Titans’ cabinet, the Sky Blues enter the new season determined to add more silverware to their collection. Having shared the 2024/2025 Four-Day Trophy with the DP World Lions, the Titans will be eager to go one step further this season and establish themselves as champions outright.

The opening fixture carries added significance as the Titans begin their campaign at their home ground, SuperSport Park, which celebrates 40 years this year. The team will be looking to mark the milestone year with performances that match the rich history of the venue.

Head Coach Rivash Gobind, alongside Assistant Coach Albie Morkel, will lead the Titans into a new season with a clear focus on consistency, competitiveness and ultimately challenging for silverware.

“We’re really looking forward to getting the season underway, particularly because we get to start at home in front of our supporters,” said Gobind. “There is a lot of excitement around this group and we have worked hard in preparation for the season. We know the Dolphins will present a strong challenge, but for us it’s about focusing on our processes, playing positive cricket and giving ourselves the best opportunity to start the campaign strongly.

“We have a good blend of experience and some exciting new faces, and it’s important that we create an environment where everyone can contribute. With the history of this team and 22 trophies behind us, there is certainly a hunger to add another one to the cabinet. We know that starts with the work we put in from day one.”

The Titans will also welcome several familiar faces back into the squad for the four-day campaign, with Proteas stars Lungi Ngidi and Marco Jansen among the players who could feature. Keegan Petersen, Donovan Ferreira, Junior Dala and Jorich van Schalkwyk also bolster the squad as the Titans prepare for their opening assignment.

There is also plenty of excitement around new additions to the Sky Blues, with Tshepang Dithole, a top-order batter who joins from the Dolphins, in line to make his Titans debut. All-rounder Beyers Swanepoel could also make his first appearance in Sky Blue, while Lethabo Phahlamohlaka and Marco Jansen are also potential debutants for the Titans in the First-Class campaign.

Simon Harmer will captain the Titans in their opening encounter as the team looks to start the season on a winning note.

The four-day encounter gets underway at 10:00 on Wednesday, 10 September at SuperSport Park, with the Titans calling on their supporters to come out and back the Sky Blues as they begin their 2026/2027 campaign.

Entry is free, so bring your friends and family and make your way to SuperSport Park to experience the start of another season of Titans cricket.
