Titans Cricket officially launched their 2026/2027 season today at SuperSport Park in Centurion, bringing together players, coaching and support staff, franchise personnel and sponsors from both the Fidelity Titans and Momentum Multiply Titans teams to look ahead to the campaign that lies ahead across all three domestic formats.
The event was hosted by Smash Afrika, who kept proceedings lively as guests gathered to mark the start of a new season for the union. Titans Cricket CEO Dr Jacques Faul opened the launch with a welcome address, setting the tone for the season and thanking players, staff and sponsors for their continued commitment to the franchise.
“Today’s launch is about bringing everyone who makes this union what it is under one roof – our players and staff across both the Fidelity Titans and Momentum Multiply Titans teams, and the sponsors who back us – to look ahead to the season together,” said Titans Cricket CEO Dr Jacques Faul. “We have talented and committed squads heading into 2026/2027, and I have every confidence that the planning and hard work we have seen over the off-season will translate into strong performances across all three formats. On behalf of Titans Cricket, I want to thank our players, staff and partners for their continued dedication to this union.”
The centrepiece of the launch was a panel discussion exploring the team’s plans for the season ahead. The discussion was led by media personality, Homba Mazaleni and featured Donovan Ferreira, Katie Prior, Fidelity Titans head coach Geoffrey Toyana, Momentum Multiply Titans head coach Rivash Gobind and team manager Karen Smithies. The panel touched on preparations, expectations and the mindset within the camp as the union targets a strong showing in the new season.
“We have put in the work over the off-season and the belief within the squad is high,” said Gobind. “Our focus now is on translating that preparation into consistent performances from the very first game.”
“The conversations we had today reflect the depth of planning that has gone into this season, from player development to the standards we want to set as a squad,” said Toyana. “We are excited for what lies ahead.”
Sponsors and partners of Titans Cricket were also in attendance, underlining the continued support behind the union as it builds towards the new season. The launch served as an opportunity to bring together everyone involved in the franchise’s cricketing programme under one roof, from the playing group to the staff and partners who support them, ahead of a season in which Titans Cricket will compete across the domestic four-day, one-day and T20 formats
