Titans Cricket is proud to announce that two of its own, Vincent Sinovich and Alan Jordaan, were awarded Honorary Life Membership of Cricket South Africa (CSA) at the CSA Annual General Meeting held this past Saturday, 26 September 2026. It is a fitting recognition of a lifetime of service to the game, and of the enduring mark both men have left on cricket in Gauteng and across the country.
Sinovich, a former CSA Board member, has been involved with the Titans for six decades. Jordaan has likewise served the Titans for six decades and has also served the game at national level as South African team manager at the 1992 Cricket World Cup in Australia. Between them, they represent generations of dedication, wisdom and quiet hard work behind the scenes, the kind of commitment that rarely makes the headlines but shapes the game for the players who follow.
Titans Cricket Union CEO Dr Jacques Faul paid tribute to the pair. “Vincent Sinovich and Alan Jordaan are true stewards of the Titans and of South African cricket. They have served with distinction over many years, and this honour is richly deserved,” he said.
Titans Cricket Union President Damian Weidemann said the union was delighted to have put both men forward for the recognition. “When we nominated Alan and Vincent, it was not a difficult decision. Alan and Vincent have each given us some six decades of loyal, selfless service, with Alan serving as South African team manager at the 1992 Cricket World Cup in Australia and Vincent serving as a CSA board member. They have given so much of themselves to this game, and it is a proud moment for everyone at the Titans to see that contribution recognised by Cricket South Africa,” said Weidemann.
For Jordaan, the award is a humbling moment. “It is a great honour to be recognised in this way. Serving as South Africa’s team manager at the 1992 Cricket World Cup was a privilege, and I have been proud to be part of the Titans family for six decades. I thank Cricket South Africa and the Titans for this recognition, and I share it with everyone who has worked alongside me over the years,” he said.
Sinovich echoed those sentiments, reflecting on a journey that has spanned much of his life. “Cricket has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember, and the Titans have been at the heart of it. To receive Honorary Life Membership from Cricket South Africa is something I will always treasure. I am grateful to the Titans for nominating me and to Cricket South Africa for this honour, and to all the people who have made this journey so rewarding,” he said.
Titans Cricket congratulates Vincent Sinovich and Alan Jordaan on this well-earned honour and thanks them for their remarkable contribution to the franchise and to South African cricket.
