The Momentum Multiply Titans are on their way to Gqeberha as they prepare to face the Dafabet Warriors in their next One Day Cup campaign at St George’s Park, 18 March 2026.
The Sky Blues make the trip to the Friendly City off the back of a defeat against the DP World Lions at the DP World Wanderers last Sunday, a result that will no doubt have fuelled the fire within the squad. Sitting third on the One Day Cup log, the Titans know that every match from here carries enormous weight, and they will be eager to bounce back with a strong performance on the road.
The squad travels without two of their key men, Lhua-ndre Pretorius and Donovan Ferreira, who have departed for India ahead of the Indian Premier League, which is set to get underway later this month. Their absence creates space for others to step up and stake a claim and head coach Rivash Gobind believes the group selected is more than capable of doing exactly that.
“We have a good squad to face the Warriors,” said Gobind. “The boys have prepared well, and the focus is on carrying our momentum into this game. When I look at the bowling group, Duan Jansen, Dayyaan Galiem, Tsepo Ndwandwa have all been in very good form and we expect them to lead the charge with the ball. With the bat, Keegan Petersen, Keagan Lion-Cachet and Neil Brand give us real quality and experience at the top. All the guys are ready for this encounter, and we are looking forward to it.”
A welcome return to the squad comes in the form of Janco Smit, whose inclusion adds further depth and options for the coaching staff heading into what promises to be a highly competitive fixture.
Captain Rivaldo Moonsamy echoed the mood in the camp, expressing confidence ahead of the clash. “The gents are ready, and we are looking forward to it,” said Moonsamy. “We know what is at stake and we know what we are capable of. We go to Gqeberha with intent.”
After the Warriors encounter, the Titans will make their way back to Centurion for their final home fixture of the One Day Cup campaign – a Sunday clash at SuperSport Park on 22 March.
It promises to be a special occasion, and the Sky Blues will be hoping to carry a positive result from PE back to their fortress on the highveld.
