DAFABET NAMED TITLE SPONSOR OF THE 2026 METRO T10 CUP

April 16, 2026

Global sports betting brand Dafabet comes on board as the title sponsor of the Dafabet Metro T10 Cup 2026, set to light up SuperSport Park in Centurion as the iconic venue marks its 40th anniversary.

The Metro T10 Cup is proud to announce that Dafabet, one of the world’s leading online sports betting and gaming brands, has been confirmed as the title sponsor of the Metro T10 Cup for the 2026 edition. The competition will be officially known as the Dafabet Metro T10 Cup, hosted at the iconic SuperSport Park in Centurion, a ground that this year proudly celebrates 40 years of world-class cricket.

The announcement comes on the back of an action-packed 2025/2026 domestic season, with all four unions having just concluded their campaign across the various franchise competitions. With the dust barely settled on the domestic season, attention now turns to the shortest format on the calendar, and the Dafabet Metro T10 Cup promises to be the perfect punctuation mark – a high-octane celebration of everything South African cricket has to offer.

The Metro T10 Cup was born out of a collective ambition shared among South Africa’s four big domestic cricket unions – the Momentum Multiply Titans, DP World Lions, Western Province, and Hollywoobets Dolphins.

When the competition was launched in 2025, the driving force was clear: domestic cricket needed a new spark, a format that would speak to a modern audience and reignite passion for the game at home. All four unions came together with that unified vision of growing the domestic product, making it more accessible, and giving fans a reason to come through the gates and engage with local cricket in a way that felt fresh and exciting.

T10 cricket, with its explosive and fast-paced nature, was identified as the ideal vehicle to achieve just that. In a world where audiences are gravitating toward shorter, sharper sporting content, the T10 format offers something that traditional formats simply cannot, non-stop action, accessible to fans of all ages, and packed into a schedule that fits the rhythm of modern life. The inaugural 2025 edition delivered on that promise, and the Titans lifted the first Metro T10 Cup trophy, making their role as hosts and defending champions more fitting as the 2026 edition returns to SuperSport Park.

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Dafabet as the title sponsor of the Metro T10 Cup. When we sat down with our fellow unions and conceptualised this competition in 2025, the goal was simple – we wanted to create something that South African cricket fans would genuinely get excited about. We believed the T10 format had the power to do that, and the response we received in the first edition proved we were on the right track. As the

defending champions and this year’s host union, the Titans are incredibly proud to stage the 2026 edition at SuperSport Park. Hosting this competition in a year where the park celebrates 40 years of heritage makes it even more special. Having Dafabet come on board as title sponsor elevates the competition to another level, and we look forward to putting on a spectacular show for our fans. We are ready to defend our title”, said Dr Jacques Faul, CEO of Titans Cricket

Dafabet commented: “At Dafabet, sport is at the heart of everything we do, South African cricket is a market we have been watching with tremendous interest, and the Metro T10 Cup is exactly the kind of competition that aligns with everything our brand stands for. We are all about energy, entertainment, and being part of moments that matter to fans and the T10 format delivers all of that in abundance. We are proud to be the title sponsor of the Dafabet Metro T10 Cup 2026 and to be bringing this competition to SuperSport Park in what is a landmark year for that venue. This is more than just a sponsorship; it is a commitment to the growth of domestic cricket in South Africa and an opportunity to connect with fans across the country in a meaningful way. We look forward to an exciting tournament and to engaging with cricket fans across South Africa.”

The Metro T10 Cup is South Africa’s premier domestic T10 cricket competition, featuring the country’s four major cricket unions. Launched in 2025 with the vision of revitalising the domestic cricket landscape, the competition has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting events in the South African cricket calendar. The Titans are the inaugural and defending champions, having claimed the 2025 edition in Durban last year.

Fans are encouraged to head to SuperSport Park from 17–19 April to enjoy exciting cricket and an electric atmosphere throughout the weekend. SuperSport Park also looks forward to hosting the second edition of the Dafabet Metro T10 Cup, promising great entertainment both on and off the field.
