TITANS READY FOR WESTERN PROVINCE CLASH AFTER PERFECT HOME START

February 13, 2026

The Fidelity Titans are back at home this weekend as they take on Western Province Women in the Hollywoodbets Pro Series on 14–15 February at SuperSport Park.

The Titans announced their arrival at home in spectacular fashion last weekend. Captain Anneke Bosch led from the front in Saturday’s Pro50 encounter, smashing an unbeaten 114 off just 76 balls as the Titans posted an imposing 286/5. Tebogo Macheke provided excellent support with 79, and the Dragons never threatened the chase, managing just 217/9. Samantha Schutte was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets.

Sunday’s Pro20 match followed a similar script. Macheke continued her rich vein of form with another half-century, while Miane Smit added 52 as the Titans set 156. Their bowling and fielding was equally clinical, restricting the Dragons to 100/7.

The challenge intensifies this weekend as the Titans face a strong Western Province side, currently sitting third on the Pro50 table and leading the Pro20 standings.

Head Coach Pierre de Bruyn believes the team understands the task ahead, “Western Province are a well-balanced and confident unit, especially in the T20 format where they’ve been leading the table. For us, it’s about building on our momentum from last weekend. The focus remains on executing our skills consistently and maintaining our intensity across both formats.”

The Titans have received a timely boost with the arrival of twenty-one-year-old all-rounder Sophia Smale, who represents Essex and landed in South Africa just yesterday. Her inclusion adds depth to both batting and bowling options. “Sophia brings international experience and versatility that will strengthen our squad,” de Bruyn noted. “She’s had limited time to prepare, but she’s a talented cricketer who can make an impact with both bat and ball. We’re excited to have her join us for this important fixture.”

The squad also welcomes back Katherine Prior after a lengthy injury layoff, while Gandhi Jafta returns for the 50-over action, further strengthening the Titans lineup.

Spectators are welcome at SuperSport Park on Saturday and Sunday to support the team as they aim to defend their home ground and build on a promising start to the second quarter campaign.

The Fidelity Titans squad to face Western Province: Anneke Bosch (C), Gandhi Jafta, Paulinah Mashishi, Miane Smit, Tebogo Macheke, Lesedi Madisha, Kgalalelo Matsepe, Angel Ngwenya, Robyn Searle, Katherine Prior, Christelle van der Schyff, Samantha Schutte, Sophia Smale, Simone Lourens.
