A dazzling batsman when in full flow, the left-handed De Kock is one of the most popular players in world cricket.
This laid-back Johannesburg-raised wicketkeeper/batsman is seldom seen in Titans colours, having joined the franchise in 2015, simply because he has become one of the national team’s first-choice players across all formats.
The 2017 South African Cricketer of the Year has also become extremely tidy with the gloves.
A batsman of languid brilliance, De Kock enjoyed another successful season on the international stage in 2018/19, averaging 59.12 in Tests and 48.09 in ODIs, with one century and four fifties in each of those formats. He was named Player of the Series in the 5-0 whitewash of Sri Lanka and is widely considered to be the key cog in the Proteas’ ODI set-up. One of his most famous knocks is the devastating 178 off just 113 deliveries he smashed against Australia at SuperSport Park in 2016.
A wonderfully innovative cricketer, De Kock is nothing short of a batting genius.
