Titans to start 2018/19 campaign with three home games

The Multiply Titans have their path towards a successful 2018/19 season mapped out for them, now that the fixtures for the upcoming season have been announced by Cricket South Africa.

The pursuit for the elusive domestic treble starts off on Wednesday, 26 September at home to Hollywoodbets Dolphins in the four-day competition. As defending red-ball champions, the Titans will be looking to make a strong start to this competition, which they memorably sealed on the final day of the previous campaign.

There are two further home games to look forward to early in the season, with the Warriors visiting on Friday 12 October, before the WSB Cobras are in town from Mon 22 October.

The first away game of the season is the Jukskei Derby, at the Bidvest Wanderers. That was the memorable start of Lungi Ngidi's relentless march to Test honours, as he tore through the Lions top-order and piqued the interest of national selectors.

Attention then turns to white-ball cricket, in the Momentum One-Day Cup, where the Titans will begin their hunt for the 50-over trophy on Sunday 10 February, at home against the VKB Knights, before taking on the Hollywoodbets Dolphins very next Sunday in Centurion. The Sky Blues will return to SuperSport Park to take on the WSB Cape Cobras on Wednesday 13 March.

This was the only trophy to elude the clutches of SuperSport Park Centurion last season, so there is added motivation to bring it home.

The final of the Momentum One-Day Cup is on Sunday 31 March, and the Titans will be banking on being still in the competition.

The final trophy on offer in the coming season is the CSA T20 Challenge, which will begin later than usual the Titans have held for the past three years. The defence of the short-format silverware begins on Friday night, 5 April, at home to the Warriors. This is one of three home games, as the Titans host the Cape Cobras and Lions on the 10th and 22th of May respectively.

The knock-out stages of the T20 competition get underway on 1 and 2 May and will culminates on Final on Sunday 5 May.
