The Momentum Multiply Titans are set to kick off their One Day Cup campaign this weekend in Paarl, facing off against Goldrush Boland. With the squad coming off an exciting SA20 season, the team is eager to carry their momentum into the 50-over format and make a strong statement in their opening fixture.

Several Titans players delivered standout performances in the SA20, earning well-deserved accolades. Lhuan-dre Pretorius was named SA20 Batter of the Season, Dewald Brevis was crowned Rising Star of the Season, and Donovan Ferreira took home the DP World Dispatch of the Season award. Additionally, Brevis also claimed the ABSA Card Catch of the Season. With such impressive individual form, the team will be looking to channel that success into their One Day Cup campaign.

After finishing fifth in the previous season of the competition, the Titans are determined to improve their standing and push for the title. Head coach Richard das Neves is confident in the squad’s preparation and believes they are ready to make an impact.

“It’s good to be back with the boys, and I’m looking forward to seeing what they bring to the field,” said das Neves. “Our goal is to get back on top and bring a trophy home.”

Despite missing a few key Proteas players, the Titans remain a formidable unit. “At the Titans, we produce Proteas players, and while some won’t be available for this campaign, I’m confident in the squad we have,” added das Neves. “We have a strong group ready to compete.”

Captain Neil Brand will lead a strong side featuring top-order batters Dewald Brevis and Lhuan-dre Pretorius, along with medium-fast bowler Dayyaan Galiem and fast bowler Matthew Boast. While the team will be without Junior Dala and Corbin Bosch, the experience of Roelof van der Merwe will be valuable.

The Titans are ready to launch their campaign with a determined mindset and a hunger for success as they take on Goldrush Boland in Paarl.
