The Fidelity Titans Ladies are set to return to action this weekend as they host the Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers in the Hollywoodbets ProSeries.
After a long break, the Titans are eager to turn their season around and climb up the log. They faced a challenging start to the campaign but are determined to make the most of the remaining fixtures and build positive momentum.
Head coach Athi Maphosa is optimistic about the team’s return to their home ground, emphasizing the advantage of playing in familiar conditions. “We’ve had the necessary discussions, and now it’s time to give it our all on the field. The players are in a good place, and I believe in the squad we have for this weekend,” said Maphosa.
The Titans will be boosted by the return of key Proteas players, including top-order batter Anneke Bosch, medium-pacer Masabata Klaas, and all-rounder Sune Luus, who brings value with both bat and ball. Additionally, Eliz-Mari Marx joins the squad, further strengthening the team’s lineup. Young star Monalisa Legodi, fresh off her ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup campaign, also adds depth to the squad.
Captain Robyn Searle is focused on finishing the season on a high note. “The team looks good, and hopefully, we can secure a win here at home,” she said.
With renewed energy and a strengthened squad, the Titans Ladies will look to make a strong statement this weekend and get their season back on track.
The teams will clash in the Pro50 match on Saturday, 15 February, followed by the Pro20 fixture on Sunday, 16 February. Both matches will take place at SuperSport Park, starting at 10:00.
