Legendary Titans batsman Heino Kuhn called his time on cricket in February this year bringing an end to a 18-year career at the highest level of the game.

Kuhn, who played for the Titans for 15 years, recalls his time there: “Playing for the Titans was the pinnacle of my cricketing career. The Titans staff have genuinely supported me and contributed to the accomplishment, making it unquestionably the most professional environment I have experienced.”

“The Titans CEO, Dr. Faul, and team manager Karen Smithies, have supported me throughout my entire career. Karen was a mother figure, a friend, and everything else I needed at the Titans. Not forgetting the coaches either, but it was the most successful and professional team I played for.”

His career highlight came when he made his T20 debut at SuperSport Park. Following that success Kuhn was rewarded with a national call-up in 2017, making his Test debut for the Proteas against England at Lord’s.
Kuhn noted the support he had from his wife, parents, and brothers throughout his career. The right-hander will take up his coaching reigns as Assistant Coach of the Netherlands.

“I feel incredibly honoured to have seen Kuhn develop into the man he is today. We must make it a point to appreciate and recognize our players’ contributions to this team. We all applaud him on what has been a phenomenal career” Said Titans Cricket CEO, Dr Jacques Faul.

“Anyone that’s played with Heino will tell you that he is a team player through and through, not many cricketers put others and the team ahead of themselves the way Heino did throughout his career. I’m confident that he will continue to highly valued in the next chapter of his life.” Said Faul.
