Titans Cricket mourns the loss of the pioneering figure Roy Webber, who passed away on Tuesday, 30 May 2023.

Roy was a long serving Northerns Cricket Union Board member and as an honorary life member of the Marylebone Cricket Club and Cricket South Africa. Weber joined the Northerns Cricket Union Board in the early 2000s and made a significant contribution to what Titans Cricket is today.

“It’s always a sad moment when someone who contributed so much to the game passes on, Roy Webber served on the board during the early days of SuperSport Park. We appreciate all his efforts in making this Union a success” Titans Cricket CEO Dr Jacques Faul.

Roy’s close friend, Alan Jordaan says Roy was someone who was always concerned about his business and contributed hugely towards the smooth running of anything he did. “He contributed towards the initiating of sponsorships for the players and staff members,” Alan Jordaan said.

“He was not merely a figurehead but an active supporter of the provincial side itself and was always on hand to assist in whatever capacity,” Jordaan added.

During this difficult time, Titans Cricket extends its sincere condolences to the Webber family and his close friends.
