Titans cricket is deeply saddened at the passing of former Northerns Cricket Union (NCU) board President and Honorary Life Member, Brandon Foot.
Foot served as president of the NCU board from 2000 to 2005 and his guidance and stewardship were significant in making the Titans the highly successful Union that they are today. His leadership also earned him an induction as an Honorary Life Member at SuperSport Park.
A cricket man through and through, Foot represented Harlequins, PHSOB and TUKS during his playing days and went on to become Chairman of Harlequins. Foot is also a former director of the Cricket South Africa (CSA) Board.
“It’s heartbreaking news and a big loss for the world of sport and cricket. His (Foot) passing will leave a big gap with us here at the Titans as well as his family.” Said Titans Cricket CEO Dr Jacques Faul.
“My heart goes out to his loved ones and we wish them strength and comfort during this very difficult period.”
The memory of Brandon Foot will remain with us at SuperSport Park and he will be commemorated at this evening’s CSA T20 Challenge match between the Titans and Rocks.
Titans Cricket sends their condolences to the family, friends and loved one of the great leader, Brandon Foot.
