Titans Cricket hosted their season launch on Wednesday morning at SuperSport Park to set sail for the 2023/2024 campaign.
The event was attended by the senior men’s team, Momentum Multiply Titans; senior women, Fidelity Titans as well as Titans Cricket sponsors, partners and board members.
“There’s a lot that goes into planning a season launch and I’m happy that we managed to get all our important stakeholders together for such a meaningful occasion.” Said Titans CEO Dr Jacques Faul.
While the men’s division 1 domestic season is well underway the timing of the season launch was key as an opportunity to send off the Fidelity Titans who begin their crusade this weekend in Oudtshoorn.
The Momentum Multiply Titans will resume in the CSA One Day Cup with a trip to St Georges Park in Gqeberha and then Kingsmead in Durban.
“This event presents a nice opportunity for our sponsors to mix and mingle with the players and get to know who they are off the field of play. There’s also value in that the players are exposed to a range of different industries and professions and can tap into that knowledge though our partners” Said Faul.
Players from the men’s and women’s teams were dressed in their 2023/2024 playing shirts and provided guests an opportunity to see the kit up close and for sponsors to see their logos on the playing shirts.
“It was a nice morning and great to see the engagement and interaction between both professional teams and our different sponsors and partners.” Faul concluded.
2023/2024 has a lot of promise for Titans Cricket and the goals of winning silverware and producing players for South African national teams remains a critical objective.
