The Fidelity Titans are set to conclude their year with an exhilarating match against Western Province this Saturday and Sunday, December 2-3 at SuperSport Park.
This marks a pivotal moment as it is the first fixture where ticket sales are open to the public, providing a unique opportunity for fans to actively support women’s cricket.
In their previous encounter last weekend, The Daisy Ladies faced a setback in the 50-over game against Hollywoodbets Dolphins, succumbing to a 110-run defeat. However, redemption followed on Sunday as they emerged victorious in the T20 series against the Dolphins, clinching a 15-run win.
Notable performances by fast bowler Kay-leigh Tapp, securing 3 wickets, and Masabata Klaas, also claiming 3 wickets, showcased the team’s resilience. The Dolphins concluded their innings at 118-9 after 20 overs.
Head coach, Byron Fraser, speaking ahead of the upcoming fixtures against Western Province, expressed the team’s anticipation of hosting the opposition at their home stadium, “we aim to finish the year strong as we get closer to our last game of the year. We are eager to put the women’s participation in the batting master class with Titans Cricket star, Dewald Brevis to use on the field because it adds an extra dimension”.
Supporters can expect a revamped atmosphere this weekend. Tickets for the T20 Series on Sunday are available at ticketPro.co.za, and for added convenience, they can also be purchased at the stadium for R20.
The action-packed weekend kicks off with the CSA Women’s One Day Cup starting at 10:00 on Saturday, followed by the T20 series at 11:00 on Sunday, December 3, 2023.
