The Fidelity Titans are pleased to announce that two of their CSA Women’s Top 6 T20 matches will be broadcast live on SuperSport in March and April 2024.
While Cricket South Africa has secured the broadcasting of 4 matches, the Fidelity Titans are honoured to have 2 of their games on live on SuperSport.
Fidelity Titans captain, Robyn Searle had this to say, “We consider it an incredible privilege to be a part of the televised women’s domestic games, and we look forward to it. This is our chance to make history and display the fruits of our laborious two-months training and skill development. We want to make it a game to remember and the start of something new for women’s cricket on TV.”
The first match will take place on Friday 8 March against ITEC Knights at SuperSport Park, which will be a curtain raiser for the Momentum Multiply Titans match against Northwest Dragons later in that day.
The second televised fixture will be away at Newlands against Western Province Women on Sunday 7 April from 10:00.
Titans Cricket CEO expressed his delight at the news, “Credit must go to the work done by Cricket South Africa and SuperSport to ensure that the women’s game gets much needed coverage. It’s significant steps in the right direction in the pursuit of professionalizing women’s cricket in South Africa. I’m very excited by the news!”
