A well-organised left-hand batsman from King Edward VII High School and admired everywhere for his character and leadership abilities, De Zorzi has begun to find his feet at franchise level after leading the SA U19 team at the junior world cup in 2016.
He announced himself in impressive fashion in the Abu Dhabi T20 in October 2018 when he lashed a spectacular 106 not out off just 57 balls. But his four-day campaign was disrupted by an ankle injury, which he then managed to injure again after he had made a very promising start to the Momentum One-Day Cup tournament with more than 400 runs at an average of 50.50.
He played every game in the CSA T20 Challenge and contributed well with 162 runs.
At just 20 years and 143 days old, De Zorzi became the youngest century-maker for the Titans in a franchise 50-over game, scoring a superbly-controlled hundred against the powerful Knights attack in Kimberley in January 2018 beating one AB de Villiers, who made 102 against Western Province/Boland in December 2004, 11 weeks before his 21st birthday.
A student at the University of Pretoria, studying B.Com Entrepreneurship, the hard work and focus De Zorzi puts into his cricket is paying off.
