As part of SuperSport Park’s objective to be a greener, more sustainable and more iconic venue; stadium management has partnered with funeral parlor AVBOB to launch the Memorial Wall.

The wall will offer stadium visitors and the Centurion community an opportunity to purchase space and preserve their own or the memories of loved ones.

AVBOB, as a Mutual Assurance Society has made substantial investments in communities across South Africa for more than 100 years.

“It is a privilege for us to be involved with the Momentum Multiply Titans, in particular this memorial wall that is a first in South Africa at a sports stadium.” Says Pieter van der Westhuizen, general manager of funeral services at AVBOB.

The wall is the latest addition to the front lawn at SuperSport Park which is just outside the indoor nets that double as a venue for memorial services.

“We wanted to offer members of the community a place to keep their memories within Centurion. As a member of the community ourselves we want to give a piece of the stadium to the our neighbourhood and the people who visit us and we are thankful to AVBOB for coming on board and offering their expertise.” Said Sibongile Mngadi, Memorial Wall project leader.

The facility will allow for engraving text or an image to honour the legacy of a loved one. Not limited to the departed but there will be space to mark a milestone and/or special occasion.
