FIDELITY TITANS LOOK TO BUILD ON MOMENTUM AGAINST LIONS

The Fidelity Titans are set to clash with the Lions this weekend, 18-19 November at TUT in the Women’s One Day Cup and T20 Challenge.

The Daisy Ladies are riding high after clinching victories in both the 50-over and T20 Challenge against the Dolphins.
Outstanding performance from star bowler, Paulinah Mashishi took centre stage with an impressive 4/27 in her 10 overs, supported by two wickets from Eliz-Mari Marx. Their crucial contributions were pivotal in securing essential wickets on both Saturday and Sunday.

Robyn Searle showcased her batting prowess, securing a half century with an impressive 55 runs, while Katherine Prior’s 31 runs and Anneke Bosch’s contribution of 49 runs added to the team’s success.

Notable changes are on the horizon for the squad. Tebogo Macheke and Eliz-Mari Marx will be absent from the lineup as they embark on a journey to Zimbabwe, representing the SA Emerging Squad. National player Sune Luus is set to make her presence felt in the domestic arena, making her first appearance in the 2023/2024 season.

As the Sky Blue prepare to face the Lions this weekend, the team is determined to carry the same momentum onto the field. Coach Byron expressed confidence in the team’s readiness, stating, “Our recent victories have boosted our spirits. While we will miss Macheke and Marx, the return of Sune Luus will add a new dimension to the team. We are fully prepared for the upcoming fixture and look forward to maintaining our winning streak against the Lions”.
