Revised Course Programmes – May 2005.
INFORMATION ON CRITERIA / DURATION / ACCREDITATION

Bakers Orientation Course (Preparatory Phase)
- The Orientation Course is parallel to the previous Level One course.
- Attendance at the Orientation Course is desired, but not compulsory. This will depend on the playing/coaching experience and the cricket knowledge of the candidate.
- The only requirement for the Orientation Course is that candidates must be at least 16 years of age.
- The Orientation Course will last for a minimum of SIX hours – normally to consist of THREE modules of TWO hours each. The structure will be determined by the Course Administrator/Coaching Manager.
- There is no exam or evaluation. Candidates who go on to register for Level One must know that they will have to write a preliminary test based on the content of the Orientation Course (see below).
- Candidates who are present for ALL six hours of the Orientation Course will receive a certificate of attendance.
Revised Bakers Level One (Basic Skills Coach)
- Candidates must be a minimum age of 18 years to register.
- All candidates must write a preliminary test to prove their general cricket knowledge. This test is based on the content of the Bakers Orientation Course – an 80% pass mark will be required to continue with Level One.
- The Revised Level One Course will be of the following duration:

- The structure will be determined by the Course Administrator/Coaching Manager, but must include ALL the prescribed course content.
- Successful candidates will be entitled to a certificate within a month of successfully completing the course exam and evaluation.
Revised Bakers Level Two (Intermediate Skills Coach)
- Candidates must be a minimum age of 21 years to register.
- A candidate must have EITHER:
a) A Revised Level One certificate (held for at least 12 months)
or
b) An existing Level Two coaching certificate (pre-2005)
or
c) Played representative cricket (at First Class level)
- The Revised Level Two Course will be of the following duration:

The structure will be determined by the Course Administrator/Coaching Manager, but must include ALL the prescribed course content.
- Successful candidates will receive a pass certificate within a six-month probationary period from the time of successfully completing the course.
